Our Services
Individual Tax Services
Preparing your own income tax return can be a daunting task that often leads to more questions than answers. Whether we like it or not, today’s tax laws are so complicated that filing a relatively simple return can be confusing, that’s where we can help navigate the process for you. We ensure that the families we partner with pay the lowest amount of taxes that they are legally required to pay. We do this by understanding our client needs and by staying abreast of the constantly changing tax code. As CPAs, we are required to spend 40 hours a year in continuing education to stay on top of the accounting and tax landscape.
Business & Corporate Tax Services
We can help you with a wide variety of different businesses. We prepare tax returns for S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, self-employed Schedule Cs, LLC’s, various trusts and non-profit entities. We provide Quick Books and other accounting programs support to insure that your financial information is reported accurately and completely.
IRS Representation
Professional representation can be vital during an audit, we understand that this process is extremely uncomfortable with most taxpayers and our experience with tax authorities enables us to guide our clients in their dealings with federal and state agencies. If you have been chosen for an audit, the professional representation you can find with our firm can put many of your worries at bay and you will not need to personally be required to interact directly with an agent. We are ready and willing to answer any and all questions the IRS or other Tax Authorities may be asking of you and step in to be your representative so that you can focus on your other responsibilities.
Financial Statements
Financial statements are an important tool for management decision making. Financial statements represent your business to lenders, partners, potential buyers and other interested parties. We view our role in the financial reporting process as an opportunity to provide constructive solutions for maximizing your company’s profitability and efficiency. We provide financial reporting on two levels of assurance, Reviews and Compilations.
If you are not required to have an Audit performed but want additional security, Reviews may be a cost-effective alternative. Reviewed statements can be a strategic resource for understanding your company’s financial position and a clearer depiction of your business for outside parties.
A Compilation presents financial results that are the representation of management that does not involve any assurance; it simply presents the financial results of the organization into financial statements based on generally accepted accounting principles.
Buying or Selling a Business
Few business decisions are more important, complex and potentially business altering than a buy or sell decision. When you are ready to buy or sell your business, we can provide support at every step, including assistance in valuing the business, structuring the acquisition or sale as either a stock or an asset transaction, determining the usefulness of seller provided financing, vetting potential buyers, and supporting due diligence needed during the purchase or sale’s various stages of completion.
Startup Services
The business entity—LLC, sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, etc.— that you select for your business has enormous financial and tax implications. It is important that you make the right decision. We can explain each choice and its implications. As your business grows and changes, the type of business entity you choose may need to change also.
Financial & Retirement Planning
Our objective is to help you reach your financial goals and maintain financial independence through a comfortable retirement. We can guide you through tough decision-making processes such as asset allocation, investment performance monitoring, college education funding, retirement plan selection and distribution options, insurance, tax, estate, and business succession planning.
